Vivian

Vivian has already been through so much in her four years of life, and yet she has somehow remained one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you could ever hope to meet. 🥺❤️   She was found wandering the streets with several other dogs, and from what we can tell, Vivian had likely been used for breeding before finding herself homeless. When she arrived at our shelter, we also discovered that she was heartworm positive, meaning this poor girl had another difficult journey ahead of her before she could finally begin looking for the loving home she deserves.   For more than a month, Vivian has been in our care, and during that time she bravely completed her heartworm treatment. Through it all, she has continued to greet everyone with a wagging tail and so much affection. ❤️‍🩹   Vivian is 4 years old and 45 lbs., and she is truly an absolute sweetheart. She loves being close to people and will happily lean in for head scratches, cuddles and affection. She enjoys playing with toys, loves her treats, knows “sit,” and every once in a while, this normally calm girl will surprise you with a happy case of the zoomies. 🥹   It is difficult to understand how a dog this loving could ever find herself wandering the streets without a family, but we are so grateful that Vivian is safe with us now. What she needs next is someone who will show her that her days of being homeless are behind her for good.   Vivian has already spent more than a month waiting. She has completed her treatment, she is healthy, happy and ready to go home. Now we just need the right person to see her and give this incredibly deserving girl the life she should have had all along. 🙏❤️   If you would like to meet Vivian, please visit the Humane Society of Broward County. We open daily at 11 a.m. and adoptions are open until 5:30 p.m. You can also complete a pre-adoption application through the link in our bio.
